A live band in Dubai can be as small as two musicians in a lounge corner or as big as a full band with brass on a ballroom stage. You book one here for a wedding, a corporate event, a birthday or a private party, in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Tell us the date, the venue and the guests, and we send the bands that fit, with videos and a price.

Price: an Arabic oud and qanun duo usually costs AED 3,000 to AED 5,500, and a 4 to 6 piece showband usually costs AED 15,000 to AED 28,000. Bigger bands cost more, and jazz bands and acoustic duos are quoted per event. See live band prices in Dubai.

DubaiLiveBands.com is a booking site for live bands only. One team in Dubai handles your enquiry from the first message to the last song. More about us.

The bands you can book

Pop and rock cover bands. Chart songs, classic hits, soul and funk for a dance floor. The usual line-up is vocals, keys, guitar, bass and drums. See party bands.

Jazz bands. From a jazz trio for dinner to a big band for a gala, with swing, standards and smooth jazz. See jazz band in Dubai.

Arabic bands. An oud and qanun duo for a majlis, a takht ensemble for a formal dinner, a Khaleeji band or a Lebanese pop band for dabke and dancing. See Arabic band in Dubai.

Acoustic duos and trios. Voice and guitar, sax and piano or a small jazz trio for smaller rooms and relaxed events. See acoustic duo and trio.

Latin and Afro bands, and bands that play together with a DJ, are also available. Ask for them in your message.

Match the band to the event

A band does two jobs on most nights. First it plays softer music while guests arrive and eat. Later it plays louder songs to get people dancing. Tell us how the evening runs and the band plans its sets around it.

  • Weddings: music for the entrance, dinner, the first dance and the party. See wedding bands.
  • Corporate events: galas, awards nights, product launches and company dinners. See corporate event bands.
  • Private parties: birthdays, engagements and villa or yacht parties. See party bands.
  • Abu Dhabi: the same bands and planning for events in the capital. See live band in Abu Dhabi.

Songs and languages

Bands can play songs in English, Arabic, Hindi, Spanish and French, so a mixed guest list is easy to cover. Send the songs you love and the ones you never want to hear. The setlist is built around your guests.

Plan the room before you book

Check the space for the band, the power supply and whether the venue has its own sound system. Many hotel ballrooms and beach clubs also set a volume limit. The guide to hiring a live band covers stage size, sound, permits and timing.

Questions people ask

What kind of live bands can I hire in Dubai?

Pop and rock cover bands, jazz and swing bands, Arabic and Arabic fusion bands, acoustic duos and trios, Latin and Afro bands, and bands that play together with a DJ. Sizes run from a duo to a large band with brass.

How much does a live band cost in Dubai?

It depends on the size of the band and how long it plays. An Arabic oud and qanun duo usually costs AED 3,000 to AED 5,500, and a 4 to 6 piece showband usually costs AED 15,000 to AED 28,000. Larger bands with horns and dancers cost more. Jazz bands and acoustic duos are quoted per event.

How long does a band play?

Usually two or three sets across the evening, often 40 to 45 minutes each, with recorded music or a DJ in the breaks.

Can the band play our songs?

Yes. The setlist is built around your guests and your requests. A song the band does not already play needs a few weeks to rehearse.

Do you supply sound and lighting?

Sound, a stage setup and lighting can be supplied with the band. Your quote states what is included, because many hotel ballrooms already have house sound.

Do you cover Abu Dhabi?

Yes. The same team books bands for events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Travel outside Dubai is part of the quote.
