Questions people ask

Who runs this website?

DubaiLiveBands.com is a booking service for live bands, based in Dubai. Every enquiry and booking made here is handled by our team in Dubai.

What kinds of bands can I book?

Pop and rock cover bands, jazz and swing bands, Arabic and Arabic fusion bands, acoustic duos and trios, Latin and Afro bands, and bands that play with a DJ.

How do I check if a band is free on my date?

Send the date, the venue, the type of event and the number of guests on WhatsApp or through the quote form. The team checks which bands are free and sends videos and a price.

Can I choose the band?

Yes. You get videos of the bands who are free, and you choose.

How long does a band play?

Usually two or three sets across the evening, often 40 to 45 minutes each, with recorded music or a DJ in the breaks.

Can the band play our songs?

Yes. Send your list. A song the band does not already play needs a few weeks to rehearse and can be an extra.

Which languages can the band sing in?

English and Arabic, and also Hindi, Spanish and French.

Do you supply sound and lighting?

Sound, a stage setup and lighting can be supplied. If the venue has house sound, the band can use it. The quote states what is included.

How much space does a band need?

An acoustic duo needs a corner. A band for 60 to 150 guests needs at least 2 by 2 metres. Above 150 guests, plan a stage or riser.

Do I need a permit?

Hotels and licensed venues arrange it. Public spaces, malls, beach clubs and outdoor venues open to the public usually need an event permit. Private villas usually do not. Your venue or organiser confirms.

How much does a live band cost?

An Arabic oud and qanun duo usually costs AED 3,000 to AED 5,500 and a 4 to 6 piece showband AED 15,000 to AED 28,000. Jazz bands and acoustic duos are quoted per event.

How far ahead should I book?

Small line-ups on a normal date can often be confirmed 3 to 10 days ahead. Bigger bands and peak season weddings need weeks to months.

Do you cover Abu Dhabi?

Yes. Travel from Dubai is part of the quote.
